18EME DESIGNE Alias ​​Iléa grew up in Africa, in Abidjan, until the age of 15. Raised by his father, they came to France with his brother to escape the war that was raging in the Ivory Coast. Initially into rap, he released two albums with his crew. At the age 24, after losing his father, he stopped playing music altogether and found redemption in graphic arts. Today, Iléa practices digital painting. It is a form of digital art that appeared in the 1990s in which traditional painting techniques, such as watercolor, oils ... are applied using digital tools such as Photoshop and Illustrator. He spends about ten hours on each frame, always working on portraits in color. This allows to reveal all the intensity in the gaze, which is at the center of his creation.
